## Regional locator

- `runtime/ninai-region-map-v01.svg` uses GSI blank-map tiles, retrieved on 2026-10-21: `https://cyberjapandata.gsi.go.jp/xyz/blank/7/112/50.png` and `https://cyberjapandata.gsi.go.jp/xyz/blank/7/112/51.png`.

- Blank tiles are listed as non-Basic Survey Results and may be used with attribution. This edition embeds the tiles locally, crops them, lowers their opacity, and adds an approximate regional locator and labels. It is not a navigation map.
- The approximate position (34.561001 N, 136.089447 E) is the published camera location of [Wikimedia Commons: 赤目四十八滝 荷担滝 - panoramio.jpg](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:%E8%B5%A4%E7%9B%AE%E5%9B%9B%E5%8D%81%E5%85%AB%E6%BB%9D_%E8%8D%B7%E6%8B%85%E6%BB%9D_-_panoramio.jpg). The photograph itself is not copied.
- Rebuild the SVG using `node scripts/build-index-region-map.mjs` (downloads only the two public GSI tiles).

## Walking schematic

- Original schematic and forest symbols authored for this project. They show selected stops in order, not measured trail geometry or bearings. Intermediate waterfalls and rocks are omitted.

- The design uses the present entrance-facility name 赤目滝水族館; it does not reuse the older name in historic PDFs.

- `runtime/ninai-map-illustration-v01.webp` is an AI-generated watercolor-style illustration, generated with the built-in image generation tool on 2026-10-21. It is not an on-site photograph or measured terrain.
